Nairobi is home, and the markets we sell are the ones we work in person. Between us we carry close to a decade of on-ground experience placing travellers across Africa, and the working relationships with camps, guides, lodges and ground handlers that only that time produces.
This house does one thing properly: we host travellers ourselves, rather than pass them down a chain.
We are booking for a particular feeling.
There is a moment on the plains, just at first light, when the day and the season seem to begin at once, and nobody has crossed the ground yet. That is the feeling we plan for.
We take the long, unhurried view of a trip, the way a giraffe reads a whole plain before it moves, because the best journeys are watched carefully before they are taken. That is what we mean by Africa, from first light: not a line on a page, but the hour we build the whole journey around.
An autograph belongs to one person.
An autograph is written by one hand, and it cannot be mass produced. So is a trip from us. We author each itinerary for the party taking it, and we put our name to it. That is why the company is called what it is.
What our years on the ground buy you.
When a plan has to change at short notice, a booking platform sends you an email. We make a phone call to someone we know. The relationships are the difference, and they protect you on the trip rather than only before it.
Twelve markets, and a discipline.
We sell twelve markets because those are the ones we can host properly. When we do not know a place well enough to stand behind it, we do not sell it.
And when you write to us, a named person reads it, replies personally, usually within one working day, and stays with your trip from the first email to the drive home.
